The Beauty of Encounters:
For my graduation project, July 2024, I have embraced aesthetics. Finally. I love beauty. It delights and unsettles me.
I have explored the beauty of a brick using various materials. In search of the exterior and interior (the genuine truth of the brick), I began to unfold the brick (layout). Both sides are equally present and I have connected them: fabric with aluminum, wood with cement.
The visitor who moves through the installation engages in a relationship with the work. A mutual influence. The interaction with the viewer is a very important phenomenon for me. A fluid encounter.
Within the installation, I also approach the works as autonomous. Each work has its own identity, but the interconnectedness and influence of Others are present.
Threads, weaving, everything is related somehow – (Gego, 1912 – 1994)
